The Australian drill and blast market is extremely competitive. Brandrill's major competitors are other drilling companies (including the major earthmoving contractors) and mine owners. For Brandrill to deliver superior performance and to grow profitability, we recognise that we must be able to drill & operate better than our competitors. Although there are a lot of ingredients required to make this happen, three stand out:
- Our ability to operate safely and efficiently
- Our ability to manage the drilling and blasting processes; and
- Our ability to maintain our fleet of equipment
Our competitors can select the same equipment as us but it is the three factors above that will make the difference and which are the hardest to duplicate. Success in these three factors requires a solid commitment to the training of operators, maintenance personnel and their supervisors.
Brandrill has invested heavily in employee skill development programs which ensure that our employees receive the best possible training, delivered by extremely experienced and qualified training officers. Professional development training programs have also been established to ensure that those Brandrill employees required to supervise others receive the necessary ‘Nationally Recognised’ training. Brandrill’s professional development training program provides supervisors with an opportunity to attain Diploma and Degree level qualifications.
